## Newport's Last Argument: Deep Work is Meaningful
1. What about being a craftsman supports deep work and a good life? How is that made more difficult with knowledge work?
* There is a inherent good feelign about having created somethign with your two hands. Furthermore it made more difficult when you make the practical output of it invisible.
2. What is the neurological arugment that supports depth? What are some of the main ways we lose depth and peace throughout our day?
* Whatever we focus our worldview on that is what we tend to pay close attention.
3. What was Mihaly Csikentmihalyi's discovery regarding the best moments in our days? What was supprising connection does she have with free time?
* Our best moments are those when we are in a state of flow. Free time is often less happy than people spending time at work.
4. How does craftsmanship support our need for meaning in a culture that tends to state that all meaning is self-generated?
* not to generate meaning but to cultivate in the skill of understanding of the object inside.
5. What is Newport's point regarding coding, craftsmen, and cathedrals?
* His point is that knowledge work can also have the same craftsman mindset as the physical craftsman
